Dancing Mushroom Ceramics

Mission and Values

At Dancing Mushroom Ceramics, I firmly believe that my personal values should align with my business values. I am passionate about having my actions promote sustainability, social justice, and inclusivity. My mission is to add human connection and warmth through art contributing to an inclusive community that will is our world.

Human Rights

At Dancing Mushroom Ceramics, we believe in equity and that human rights matter. We are committed to ending discrimination and creating a safe and inclusive environment for everyone. We are always learning to ensure that we are doing our part in promoting equality and respect. We do not tolerate hate speech or any form of discrimination, and we stand with those who have been marginalized and oppressed.

Environmentally Responsible

At Dancing Mushroom Ceramics, we strive to be environmentally friendly and mindful of our impact on the planet. As a part of our efforts, we make sure to reuse shipping materials when possible, purchase post-recycled materials, and recycle what we can. We believe that every small act adds up and that we can work towards taking care of the world that does so much to take care of us.

Acknowledging Privilege

At Dancing Mushroom Ceramics, I recognize my intersectionality and the privilege of being a white, middle class woman. I am committed to using my platform, no matter how small, to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the community around me. I recognize that I will make mistakes as I navigate these issues, but I am committed to growth and doing my part to promote social justice and equity.

Organization of the Month

This month, in following with our mission statement and values, we are donating 5% of each product sold to The Center For Independence

As a high school art teacher, I have a front-row seat to how our government's decisions affect our wonderful students. A growing threat I see is the negligence of our amazing Special Education students and their programs.

Learning to be independent is vital, and our schools are a strong key in ensuring that they have the independence they need and deserve. The loss of it makes organizations like CFI even more vital. I'm really excited to have 5% of our profits go to such an amazing organization.
